Zavakos Family Website
Hi ! My name is Laura Zavakos Wood. I am the great-great-granddaughter of Kostantenos & Maria Zavakos, great-granddaughter of Otto & Bernadina, granddaughter of Louis John & Carmen & daughter of George & Virginia Zavakos of Dayton, Ohio.
Although I never met Otto (he passed away a few years before I was born) my sister, Lisa, and I were very close to our great-grandmother Bernadina. As such, my sister and I inherited her pictures and mementoes, of which there are many. With this website, I am going to attempt to share these pictures with the rest of my family and anyone else who wants to take a peek.
Since I am the fourth generation I wasn't around when a lot of these people were alive, so, I don't know who they are. I am hoping that by sharing these pictures anyone who knows the people in them will share with me and the rest of my family any tidbits of information you think we might be interested in. In return, if you'd like I will e-mail or snail mail (on a dvd) you the pictures contained within this website OR you can right click on any picture and save it from the website.
The reason I am doing this is because I have a plastic tote full of pictures pic 1 pic 2 that I've wanted to scan so I'd have digital copies of them for myself. As long as I'm going to all the effort I would like to find out who the people are and share them with the people they would mean the most to, the people who's mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, grandparents, aunts and uncles are in the pictures. I need to do this before we lose all the links to the past.
That, and... I'm an aspiring web designer, so I'll be using this as a learning experience. I'll probably be trying out different things from time to time so it could be interesting. If you're at all interested in the Zavakos family history keep checking back, you never know what you mind find here.
